Hockey Martlets muzzle Montreal in key cross-town contest
Gabrielle Davidson's first period power-play marker stood up as the game-winner as the No.1-ranked McGill University women's hockey team skated to a 3-1 victory over No.3-Montreal at McConnell Arena, Friday.
The victory extended McGill's win streak to 22 consecutive games, dating back to their final two contests at the Nationals last year. It also clinched first-place for the Martlets, who are 16-0 in the Quebec conference with four games left to play and 25-1 lifetime against the Carabins. McGill is gunning for a perfect 20-0 season, which would match the RSEQ record for wins that they established in 2009-10 and equaled in 2010-11
