MCGILL ENDS BISHOP’S HOOPSTERS PLAYOFF HOPES
Heading into Saturday afternoon’s contest in Montreal with the No.8 McGill Redmen the Bishop’s Gaiters men’s basketball team knew they had a tall task in front of them if they wanted to qualify for the RSEQ Final-4. First task was to win their final two games then get help. McGill ended all hope the Gaiters had with a convincing 76-46 triumph. [+]

BISHOP’S BATTLES BUT COMES UP SHORT TO STINGERS
In the final contest of RSEQ women’s basketball action in Mitchell Gym the Gaiters (0-14) fell 60-57 to the Concordia Stingers (6-9). Sophomore sensation, Noemie Hamel-Petit (Magog, Que.) had a double-double, 12 points and 13 rebounds to lead Bishop’s in both categories. [+]

HAMEL-PETIT’S HEROICS NOT ENOUGH AS GAITERS SWEPT IN HOME-AND-HOME SERIES WITH CONCORDIA
Super sophomore Noemie Hamel-Petit scored 13 points while playing 39 out of 40 minutes however the effort was not enough as the Bishop’s Gaiters fell 58-46 to the Concordia Stingers on Saturday night in Mitchell Gym. The game was the back end of a home-and-home series that saw Concordia win 80-51 on Thursday in Montreal in RSEQ University Women’s basketball action. [+]

HARVEY’S DOUBLE-DOUBLE PACES GAITERS BUT STINGERS HOLD ON TO REMAIN HOTTEST TEAM IN CONFERENCE
Fantastic freshman Nick Harvey scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Bishop’s Gaiters on Saturday night in the back end of a home-and-home series with the Concordia Stingers. Despite the effort, Concordia was able to hold on for a tight 63-60 victory in the final minutes of the contest. The win was the second in three days for the Stingers who beat Bishop’s 72-53 on Thursday night in Montreal in RSEQ University men’s basketball. [+]
