Redmen symphony performs Ode to Joyal in Quebec City
Université McGill

It may not have been as impressive a performance as the final movement in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony but Nathan Joyal came off the bench to orchestrate a key victory with a game-high 17 points, buttressed by a stellar 9-for-9 effort from the free-throw line, to give the visiting McGill Redmen a joyous 68-53 conquest over Laval in men's basketball at the Centre PEPS, Thursday.
With a 12-47 record in the last 59 meetings, McGill victories over Laval have been few and far between over the past decade but this was the third consecutive Redmen decision against the Rouge et Or since a 57-56 loss in Quebec City on Feb. 9, 2012.
