GAITERS FIND CURE FOR CITADINS THANKS TO WESTON’S WIZARDRY
Quebec City’s Peter Weston scored a game-high 24 points to propel the Gaiters to an 83-75 win over the UQAM Citadins on Friday night in Mitchell Gym. The victory kept the Gaiters’ RSEQ University Men’s Basketball playoff hopes alive. [+]

HAMEL-PETIT’S HEROICS NOT ENOUGH AS GAITERS SWEPT IN HOME-AND-HOME SERIES WITH CONCORDIA
Super sophomore Noemie Hamel-Petit scored 13 points while playing 39 out of 40 minutes however the effort was not enough as the Bishop’s Gaiters fell 58-46 to the Concordia Stingers on Saturday night in Mitchell Gym. The game was the back end of a home-and-home series that saw Concordia win 80-51 on Thursday in Montreal in RSEQ University Women’s basketball action. [+]

HARVEY’S DOUBLE-DOUBLE PACES GAITERS BUT STINGERS HOLD ON TO REMAIN HOTTEST TEAM IN CONFERENCE
Fantastic freshman Nick Harvey scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Bishop’s Gaiters on Saturday night in the back end of a home-and-home series with the Concordia Stingers. Despite the effort, Concordia was able to hold on for a tight 63-60 victory in the final minutes of the contest. The win was the second in three days for the Stingers who beat Bishop’s 72-53 on Thursday night in Montreal in RSEQ University men’s basketball. [+]

It was a tall task entering the weekend against the nation’s second ranked team and the Bishop’s Gaiters women’s basketball sqaud put their best foot forward but it wasn’t enough as the McGill Martlets swept a home-and-home series with a pair of victories on Thursday and Saturday in RSEQ University Women’s Basketball. KAMANE CURSIES BUT MCGILL MARCHES PAST BISHOP’S ON HARDWOOD
Vanier College product Abdul Kamane cemented his status as one of the top rookies in the conference. He led the Bishop’s Gaiters men’s basketball team in a pair of contests against the nation’s seventh ranked team, the McGill Redmen over the weekend.
