McGill lineman Spooner makes final Top 20 prospect list for 2017 CFL draft
MONTREAL (April 13/17) – Qadr Spooner, an offensive lineman from McGill University, is ranked 13th in the final prospect list unveiled on Thursday by the Canadian Football League's Scouting Bureau in advance of the CFL's 2017 amateur draft.
A 24-year-old from Brossard, Que., Spooner is the second-highest ranked offensive linemen among Canadian university prospects. He drew the attention of some CFL scouts as far back as his freshman year in 2013 when he started alongside NFL-bound McGill senior Laurent Duvernay-Tardif.
